UNBRIDLED PASSION
at angel ridge ranch

Angel Ridge Ranch is nestled amid two of southwestern Colorado 's most majestic and uniquely formed mountain ranges—the Cimarrons and Sneffels. As its name implies, Angel Ridge Ranch's setting strums a heavenly chord. To the east, the weirdly-formed, jagged peaks of the Cimarrons impart a sense of awe. This feeling is particularly powerful each evening when the mountains are set on "fire" as the sun casts the day's final episodic burst of light. Intense bands of orange, magenta and violet create a fireworks show, of sorts, known regionally as "the alpenglow." To the south, Angel Ridge Ranch looks onto one of the most photogenic mountain ranges in the Western Hemisphere , Sneffels. To the west and north, this lovely, Victorian-styled ranch is surrounded by the pine and juniper-clad rolling hills of the Uncompahgre Plateau. Nearby rivers and streams beckon an abundance of wildlife to Angel Ridge Ranch's 52-acre parcel. Regularly, elk and mule-deer pasture and scopeout the ranch's entourage of animals—horses, goats, ducks, geese, rabbits, dogs and cats.

A petite, baby-blue-eyed ranchwoman bearing the titles of entrepreneur, hostess, horse trainer, fixer-upper and PR director is the maestro behind this finely tuned guest ranch. Her name is Denise Fisher. She glows of wholesome health and exuberance that she seemingly gets from working on the ranch. Her tasks not only ground her, but connect her to the creatures of the earth and the lofty peaks that encircle her spread. Denise and her staff have not only created relaxing accommodations in the gracious, four-bedroom home, they have crafted a full-service equine facility that offers 24/7 horse boarding, training, pasturing and stall board—strewn with personal touches. Denise has basically turned this little slice of heaven into a "rent-a-ranch" situation. What could be more enthralling than being able to stay in a place that has time and time again been equated with heaven or paradise and getting to call it yours for a week, two weeks or a month? Perfecto. You ain't seen the effervescent light from above yet ... Denise Fisher makes it a point to know your wishes prior to arrival, ensuring your stay at the ranch is an enjoyable and memorable one.

Obviously, she has an unbridled passion spiced with old-fashioned western hospitality. The barn is a full-service equine facility offering overnight accommodations, turn-out to training, giving you the choice of pasture to full-stall board. Lessons are available from a certified instructor, too. Other amenities include an 80' round pen, 100' x 120' outdoor arena with spectacular views, turnout paddocks, individual runs, grooming bays, tackroom, hotwalker, four large turn-out pastures, customized feeding plans and the "treat" jar is always full! Live the western lifestyle while staying at Angel Ridge by joining in on fireside BBQs, round-ups, barn dances, dinner sleigh rides or by relaxing in the tepees after fly-fishing in the ponds. Perhaps the most romantic and memorable thing to do at Angel Ridge Ranch is to go horseback riding, directly from the property, on endless miles of breathtaking trails overlooking the nearby Ridgway Reservoir and the purple mountain majesty Colorado is famed for possessing.

Truly, it rarely gets any better than this. If you are unable to bring your own horse, Denise has horses for your enjoyment! From novice to advanced, Denise and her highly-trained staff can customize just about anything to fit your needs and desires. This perfect getaway is located 25 miles south of Montrose and 40 miles east of the famous Telluride Ski Resort. The alluring town of Ridgway is but a stone's throw from Angel Ridge Ranch.
